“Fashion Star Victoria Kostyuk Shares Emotional Thyroid Cancer Diagnosis at 34”

Fashion influencer Victoria Kostyuk has revealed that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, sharing an emotional update with her followers about the unexpected health challenge she is facing.

“Well, this is a video I never imagined I would have to make,” Kostyuk, 34, said in a heartfelt social media video posted on Friday, January 9. “This past month has been, without a doubt, one of the most overwhelming and stressful periods of my life. I never thought I would be ending 2025 with a cancer diagnosis. It still feels surreal to even say those words out loud.”

She continued with quiet determination: “This is something I have to walk through at this time, and while it’s not what I would have ever chosen, I’m learning to take it one step at a time.”

Kostyuk filmed the video on December 23, 2025, the very day she underwent thyroid surgery. In the recording, she opened up about the emotional weight of her diagnosis.

“It’s been something that has really taken a toll on me emotionally,” she admitted. “I am just so incredibly grateful that this was caught early. … Just a few hours before surgery, I was feeling a mix of emotions, anxious, nervous, and honestly a little scared, but I also felt a strong sense of hope.”

For Kostyuk, sharing her journey publicly was not just a personal decision, but also a conscious effort to support others who may be facing similar challenges.

“I felt it was important to document this process because I had seen a woman going through thyroid cancer who handled it with such calmness and positivity,” Kostyuk recalled. “She was talking about her week, her dad, and casually mentioned, ‘By the way, I stopped by the doctor.’ I had never seen someone approach cancer with such grace and strength, it was inspiring to watch.”

The influencer continued, “Seeing someone take something so incredibly difficult and turn it into a positive experience gave me hope. Going through this myself, knowing that cancer is living in your body, makes you want to act quickly. I don’t want to take any risks. I want to remove it as fast as possible and prevent it from spreading.”

Thankfully, Kostyuk’s surgery was successful, and she is now focusing on recovery and regaining her strength.

“I’ve been sharing my life on this platform for over a decade, yet this is, by far, the most vulnerable post I’ve ever had to make,” she captioned her January 9 video. “You’ve seen me at my happiest moments, and now I want to be honest about my most challenging ones. Although this is not a journey I ever hoped to share, keeping it hidden felt wrong. Transparency feels necessary, not just for me, but for anyone who might be experiencing something similar.”

She concluded with hope and determination: “This is what I’ve been going through behind the scenes, and I see this as adding another badge of strength to my body and my life. I am committed to healing, and 2026 will be my year of recovery and resilience.”

Kostyuk is widely known as a fashion stylist and influencer, with more than 522,000 followers on her “All Things Victoria” Instagram page, where she documents her stylish life and family moments. She and her husband, married since 2011, share three children: daughters Ezmae and Rose, and son Tristan.

Reflecting on her past decade, Kostyuk shared a poignant look back at 2016, a year she calls one of her favorites. “2016 was an incredible year, it’s when we became parents for the first time. My pregnancy with Ezmae was wonderful, despite my usual struggles with hyperemesis. Thankfully, it was the shortest of my pregnancies,” she wrote via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 14.

She continued, “After welcoming our first daughter, my husband and I created so many beautiful memories together. Life was unfolding in such a magical way. Ezmae was such a happy and calm baby, and she made me dream about having a big family. Looking back over these last ten years, I feel a deep sense of emotion. We’ve had countless joyful moments, but also our fair share of challenges, trials, and stressors.”

Kostyuk ended her reflection with a heartfelt reminder about what truly matters: “Life is unpredictable and sometimes incredibly hard. But nothing is more important than the health, safety, and wellbeing of your loved ones, especially your children. That will always remain my top priority.
